The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry reported that as of October 5, Mongolia has stockpiled 52.6 thousand tonnes of wheat out of a planned 100 thousand tonnes to stabilise domestic production and supply.

Nationwide, 338.5 thousand tonnes of grain, 134.3 thousand tonnes of potatoes, 138.4 thousand tonnes of vegetables, 124.1 thousand tonnes of fodder, and 14.6 thousand tonnes of oil plants have been harvested so far. According to the preliminary harvest balance, the country plans to harvest 555.3 thousand tonnes of grain (including 497.1 thousand tonnes of wheat), 168.2 thousand tonnes of potatoes, 218.4 thousand tonnes of vegetables, 50.4 thousand tonnes of oil plants, and 201.8 thousand tonnes of fodder plants.

This year, crops were planted across a total of 580.4 thousand hectares. This includes 369.7 thousand hectares of grain (of which 317.9 thousand hectares are wheat), 12.8 thousand hectares of potatoes, 13.4 thousand hectares of vegetables, 94.1 thousand hectares of fodder, and 90.4 thousand hectares of oil plants.
