The 'Open to Export International Business Awards' are an initiative launched with the support of the World Trade Organisation(WTO), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the UK's very own Institute of Export & International Trade(IOE&IT).

Through the competition we're trying to drive the 'Global Britain' agenda, making the UK visible as a driving force in internationaltrade - in this case, particularly among SMEs.

The International Business Awards are a great opportunity for SMEs in the country you're based in - British or national - to win$5000 towards their export plans using the 'Export Action Plan' online tool on Open to Export - a site founded by DIT and now run by the IOE&IT.

Companies have until August 10th to enter, and 10 shortlisted finalists will then pitch their businesses to the international media, international government officials, and global business leaders at the WTO Public Forum in Geneva in October.
