Investment Protection Council holds its regular meeting www.montsame.mn
Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The Investment Protection Council of the Government of Mongolia organized its regular meeting on May 30.
The regular meeting was attended by representatives of member companies of the Board of the Project Management Institute Mongolia Chapter (PMIMC).
Present at the meeting were B.Bat-Erdene, deputy head of the Cabinet Secretariat and deputy chief of the Investment Protection Council (IPC), Kh.Bulgantuya, deputy Minister of Finance and member of the IPC and other officials.
At the meeting, B.Bat-Erdene introduced about the reform of government participation in private sector’s activities, measures to improve capacity of personnel and roles of project managers in solving pressing issues in economy.
“It is ready to function permanently the Public and the Private Sector’s Consultative Body, which operates under the IPC and is responsible to provide related information to the IPC before formulating any legal document on any investment-related laws and regulations. Also, it makes sure that no mutual interest is being violated and to advice on each legal issue for the Investment Protection Council.” He also added that it is willing to cooperate in implementing large projects and programs that can contribute to national development.
During the meeting, businessmen inquired about current taxation, mining and privatization and emphasized an importance of stable legal environment and attraction of foreign investment.
PMI Chapter, founded in 1969 and centered in Pennsylvania, has over 500 thousand members of 185 countries and conducts operations in mega projects and programs and portfolio management.
