Mongolian Parliament holds secret session on SCO status www.news.mn
The Mongolian Parliament has held an irregular meeting regarding the nation's status in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The meeting took place behind closed doors on Wednesday 30 May. President Kh.Battulga and Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh both participated in the session.
At the meeting, the MPs discussed Mongolian Foreign Policy and the need to join the Eurasian Economic Union.
To date, Mongolia has not shown much interest in becoming a full member of the SCO, although it has been an observer since 2004.
