Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki met with the Executive Director of MIAT D.Battur and thanked the airline for their safe evacuation of Japanese citizens back home.
On April 2, a chartered plane which was deployed to airlift Mongolia’s citizens in Japan escorted 130 Japanese nationals to their home country.
“I would like to express my gratitude towards MIAT for transporting Japanese 130 citizens safe and responsibly by the charter flight in route Ulaanbaatar-Tokyo following the decision made by the Government of Mongolia and State Emergency Commission during the difficult times caused by COVID-19 pandemic and we hope to further expand our cooperation," Monrsame reports Ambassador as saying.
