1.Amarbayasgalant Buddhist Monastery
There are 28 temples around the monastery and the complex is in the tentative UNESCO world heritage site list. With its incredible surroundings, the monastery is nestled in the Ivon Gol River Valley, which is a hilly landscape.
2.Orkhon Valley
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Orkhon Valley should be on every traveller’s list visiting. Set in central Mongolia, the valley is steeped in history and is home to architectural ruins dating back to the 6th century, including Kharkhorin – the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire!
3.Gorkhi-Terelj National Park
Situated northeast of Ulaanbaatar, the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is a natural treasure trove. It’s a paradise for adventure seekers. The sweeping landscape and natural attractions attract tourists from across the globe who wish to explore the land on horseback or camels. For those, just visiting the capital, it is a “must” for a one day visit.
4.Gobi Desert

5. Altai Tavan Bogd National Park
The Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is set on the borders of Russia and China in western Mongolia. The park is home to five of the tallest mountain peaks in the country along with glaciers to lakes and waterfalls. The place is also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Petroglyph Complexes of the Mongolian Altai.
